Afternoon Tea at Stapleford Park

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea"

After a wonderful weekend celebrating our 21st surrounded by our friends and family, Molly and I extended our celebrations with an afternoon tea for two at Stapleford Park. We received a voucher from our close family friends, and thought we may as well use it whilst we are both still at home.

The interior of the room in which you are served your tea is really beautiful. The sun was shining through the window, and we chatted away before being served our loose tea. I opted for raspberry leaves, and Molly for Earl Grey.

Then came the best part, the afternoon tea itself. A selection of dainty sandwiches, scones and some delightful looking desserts.

The lemon posset was my personal favourite. Unfortunately, we couldn't manage it all. Fortunately, our waiter happily packaged up the left overs for us to take home!

All in all, we had a wonderful afternoon, topped off with a stroll around the grounds in the afternoon sun.
