Sefton Park Bonfire Night
"Remember, remember the fifth of November, gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason, why gunpowder treason should ever be forgot."
Bonfire night is my second favourite holiday, after Christmas of course. It is the time of year when you really know autumn has hit us, and winter is well on its way. Everyone gathers together in the crowd, warming our fingers with mulled wine and gazing in to the sky in anticipation.
This year, my house mates and I went to the annual firework display at Sefton Park. Before watching the spectacle, we visited the Palm House which was hosting an artisans craft and gift fair. I have blogged about the Artisans in the Palm House before, and couldn't wait to go to another and peruse all of the handmade goodies.
The already beautiful Palm House had been decked out in decorations. We started at the food stalls. Brownies and marshmallows from Treats Bake Shop.

There were savoury goodies too, the moon and pea being a familiar face from Lark Lane.
The handmade crafts and gifts were absolutely incredible. From paintings and ornaments to hand painted wooden signs, there were so many great christmas ideas.
My favourite stall of all was the henna one. I visited India a few years ago and got henna for the first time, and so felt nostalgic about getting a small henna tattoo done in Liverpool.
After squeezing through the crowds, we positioned ourselves among the throng of people and eagerly anticipated the countdown to the fireworks.
The explosions were timed to music, a collection of patriotic numbers which brought the crowd together with a sense of national pride.
