Winter Arts Market

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and Liverpool is no exception. The city streets are alight with the bright festive lights and the streets have come alive with the festivities.
Christmas shopping is one of my all time favourite parts of the build up to Christmas. Winter & Christmas markets have become an institution in England, and the Liverpool streets are alive with the hustle and bustle of festively charged shoppers.

Last weekend St George's Hall was filled with hundreds of arts and crafts stalls all in the name of the annual winter market.

I made James the cutest breakfast in bed ever, then we wrapped up and headed down to the hall, excited for a browse of all the stalls (myself slightly more so than James!)
The architecture really is breath taking, with Queen Victoria having famously saying it was 'worthy of Ancient Athens'.

The hall is really a sight to behold. Beautifully designed, it was the perfect setting for the array of sellers. The stalls ranged from artists selling their work, to jewellery makers and even some yummy looking bakery goods.
I recommend you all go and visit next year, but don't wait till then to see the beauty of St George's Hall for real, get down there as soon as you can and pretend to be a royal passing through your chambers (or is that just me?!)
